Hasaacas Ladies have retained the Ghana Women’s Championship title after recording a 1-0 win over Ampem Darkoa Ladies at the Tema Park on Sunday.
Captain of the Sekondi-based club, Samira Suleman broke the deadlock in the 67th minute after heading in a cross from Wasila Soale Diwura that beat Ampem Darkoa goalkeeper Evelyn Yeboah.
Suleman was replaced by Veronica Appiah in the 87th minute in the grand finale, which was attended by Ghana FA Boss Kwesi Nyantakyi and some Executive Committee members .
Hasaacas Ladies, who won last year’s Championship at the expense of Fabulous Ladies, booked a final spot against the Northern Zone winner Ampem Darkoa after topping the Southern Zonal table.

Hasaacas Ladies’ defender, Janet Egyir was named the Best Player of the 2014/15 Ghana Women’s Championship while the Best Goalkeeper accolade went to Beatrice Nti.
